Most definitely. On the other side of that, can you see the similarities in actors who have real stutters (off screen) and the cadence of their speech and intention between words? I guess I would best describe it as sidestepping a block. Not talking about obvious ones like Jimmy Stewart or Charlie Sheen, but the careful rhythms and soft spokenness of examples like Emily Blunt, Sam Neill, Nicole Kidman, and Bruce Willis. I guess I pay attention to this because I have friends in theater whose stutters and/or lisps are overcome on the stage.
