It's somewhat complicated. I've been working with both a speech therapist and a psychological therapist for over a year. I use techniques from both to better control my stutter. In the case of the psychologist, she knows hypnosis, and used it to tackle stress and discipline problems. For a long while I had problems consciously remembering and applying the techniques my speech therapist taught me. And I know this is weird, but the psych managed to hypnotize me into remembering my techniques every-time I think of the word 'train-station'. That, coupled with relaxation techniques and continued speech therapy has helped immensely.
