As a stutterer, should I click "yes" when prompted in job applications asking if I have a disability covered under the ADA? Stupid question with most likely an obvious answer? Yes. But I have never been sure if stuttering was considered & covered as a disability by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and wanted people's thoughts on it here. If the answer is indeed "yes" then I feel really stupid for always clicking the checkbox saying that I didn't have a disability. And I was wondering if anyone here applying for jobs in the US has clicked "yes" to this question on job applications? I tried finding the answer to this question by searching it in this subreddit but I found no answer.
