Hey man, glad Lee’s book and techniques worked for you! Personally, I saw Lee’s publications and ‘advice’ as snake oil and opted for traditional therapy. There’s several reasons why I don’t heavily suggest Lee to other people who stutter, but it does sound like some found genuine hope and effectiveness through his work. It’s important to highlight that ‘cure’ and fluency are not two sides of a same coin. Personally, I see fluency as the ability to speak confidentially and convey information. If I get a stutter block while doing it, so be it. I’m still an effective communicator and don’t let it bring me down. Traditional speech therapy has helped TREMENDOUSLY in my personal and professional life. Sadly Lee just didn’t cut it for me. Hope you continue living with the success you’ve had and other find the methods that work best for them; whether that’s Lee’s publications, traditional speech therapy, or other non-traditional methods. Keep being awesome and killing it, man!
