I think if your stuttering suddenly appears in adulthood it could be a sign of something else so it would be best to speak to a doctor and perhaps get a brain scan. I also had late onset stuttering but it was definitely developmental stuttering. I think I started grade 6(11-12) and it hasn't gone away but rather its just kind of changed forms over the years...
