Alcohol has this effect for many stutterers. It certainly has for me. What that tells you is like me, your stutter is psychological rather than physiological. It also tells you that if you don't care what other people think about your stutter then you will stutter less. Put that into practice in your daily life. It's not easy, it takes time and it'll go against what your mind is trying to tell you. However, slowly but surely the stuttering fades. I'm still working on it...
