I would recommend, as a speech pathologist, that you work with a speech pathologist that can have a good working relationship with a separate orthodontist for a second opinion about these issues. People usually do not develop stuttering and articulation issues and jaw tension at this age, and since it happened after the orthodonture, it's possible that something needs to be done physically. This is like a forensics issue, trying to find the reason for these issues arising together.
