I used to do the same but now I just stutter and I don't care. If they look at me weird or there’s a misunderstanding I tell them I have a stutter. I had problems with some words in the past and now I can say them without stuttering. I guess it's because I got used to saying those words. I wish it were like that with every word I struggle with but it’s not unfortunately.
