And if you think before you speak, do you still have those short stops? When you have those short stops, do you know the word you want to say or are you looking for the right word to say? When you say badly formed sentences, do you mean that you make grammatical errors or are the words not properly stitched together? Before we can assess what kind of stutter you have, we have to see whether you have a stutter at all. Cluttering is a very fast rate of speech, where your mind is pacing faster than your mouth. Some clutterers speak about 150-160 words per minute.
