How do colds/sinus infections impact your fluency?

How do colds/sinus infections impact your fluency? I'm battling a nasty sinus infection and am about to order take out as my other half will be home late tonight. I'm practicing our order with my cat and was wondering - how do illnesses change your fluency? I find I stutter so much more because I can't breath like I normally would to get through a word. Here goes nothing - it's the little challenges that add up right?
