Meds or Supplements for stuttering? Hi, I am new on here. I just wanted to hear from anyone if they started taking meds or supplements for stuttering? I've considered myself a stutterer since I was about 13 years old. I was probably a stutterer before that too, but too young to care I guess what others thought. The memory that made me aware of my stutter was in junior high, when I was called on to read from a book. Simple words weren't coming out, i guess that was considered "blocking". Then of course everything else went down hill too. It was terrible because the teacher actually thought that I was not able to read and she continued calling on me almost every time. I heard my classmates laughing. Anyway, fast forward about 15 years later I still stutter about 50% of the time. Obviously when talking to my bosses or superiors, it gets worse. Some days its better. A few years ago, I even went to speech therapy, but that didn't help at all. Does anyone have any suggestions on possible medications?
