>What do you mean, "almost always"? Who's humiliating you? Look at the non stutterers you interact with on a day to day basis. Look at there faces after they hear you stutter. Look at how they think less of you after they hear you stutter. Look at the people that automatically reject you because of the way you talk. All that shit is humiliating. It makes you feel like lesser of a man. >Also, stutterers can do lots of things, just like everyone else. Not everything involves speech - and even the things that do involve speech can be performed by someone who stutters. It's just that it might sound different than what was intended. Most things that are worthy involve extensive speech. Also why would I be a coward and hide from doing things like that. I'm not gonna let my stutter stop me. I used to debate and am currently doing improv. I do all this stuff that involves speech and talking but the problem is I can't be competitive. I can't win at this shit. I'll always feel like people are being sympathetic towards me like I'm some retarded animal. >Do you feel like you have to hide your stutter? Sometimes. When I'm doing improv, in a job interview or talking to women. I don't hide it around friends and people close to me.
