I don't miss the days where I'd tried to hide my stuttering during interviews. Terrible idea for me, really worsened my anxiety. And it's a bit pointless, eh? If I get the job, they're going to realize at some point, or I'd just spend my every day there struggling to not do it, which is just awful, no way to live. Now when I go in, I'm just straight up. Never have had a problem. I tell them I can't use a telephone, and this is why, and if that disqualifies me for the job then I'd understand, but they'd be losing out on all of my skills and experience for what's essentially a minimum-wage-type task. I haven't been let down yet. Plus, I'm free to spend the interview worrying about getting my skills across instead of being scared to stutter.
