I've never had that problem. My family has always been open to making jokes about my stutter and laughing when someone stutters on tv. It is pretty funny. I join in too so it isn't like I'm being bullied. Some of my jokes are enhanced when i stutter. Just don't think of it as some taboo topic no one can talk about
