Two kids (one stutters, daughter 12yr). We both have a very mild stutter and mostly goes unnoticed. I haven't been bringing much attention to her stuttering like putting her into speech therapy or anything else. I know she avoids activities where she needs to do public speaking for example running for student council. She knows she stutters since i have told her so, and that i stutter also. I can see that stuttering is already shaping her personality to be more introverted. I don't treat her differently than my non-stuttering kid and haven't seen a difference so far in raising the two. My two kids has brought so much joy to my life. I don't think i'll change anything. Also there are worst things besides stuttering you can pass down to your kids, so it will always be a roll of the dice...
