My coworkers always comment that I seem "smarter" when I'm drinking with them, at conferences or when vendors are in town. I am so much more fluent after a few drinks, like 95% fluent, but I know not to abuse this. It upsets me a lot really, that I have to drink alcohol to get my thoughts out in words. It's very tempting to slip into daily drinking, and I believe more stutterers have done it than will admit. It is a slippery slope that I am constantly avoiding. I personally limit my drinking to 1 day/week outside of special occasion. I want to look into other GABA supplements to see if they will have similar effects for me.
