"He's not the one for you" is most likely about her and not you!! They might know something about her that you don't. Do NOT take this about you. She might want you to feel badly because she is shaking off her parents comment and knows its something about her! See? Relationships are complicated. As for not having friends... what's up with that? The good news is that most of making friends and keeping them is about not being too intense and getting out there in the world. It's kind of a numbers game. The more people you meet, the more community service projects you help out, the more clubs you join, the more networking you can do. I will share something about me. I recently went to a fancy gala. I had to go for work. I didn't know a soul. Here's what I did: I hung out at the catered table and chit chatted with some folks. Yep. It was AWKWARD. Then, I got the feeling everyone knew someone there. I then did 2 laps, smiled, and left. I almost collapsed into my car. Sometimes, you just have to try new things. Most of the time folks are nice. You are going to find your people. Just not at home and not behind a computer.
