Does anyone here have a relative who also stutter? -- Also, I'm scared my future children will stutter. Hi! This is my first time posting here. I'm a 22 y.o female who has a somewhat moderately severe stutter. I've read a lot of articles saying that stuttering is genetic and someone who has a relative who stutters has a much higher chance of also stuttering. I happen to have an older brother who also stutters (however his is mild and almost unnoticable). So, does anyone here also has a relative who stutters? Also, I've always been scared of ever having kids because I'm terrified that they'll stutter too. I want to have kids in the future but I just don't want to bring another stuttering human being into this world. Does anyone here feel the same way or would like to give me an insight on this?
