I have a slight stutter, but I suffer much more from speech block. My worst sound is W, which is the first letter of my last name... lovely right? So I started a new job this past Monday which is stressful enough, one of the VP's was talking to me and says "Oh we have a few people that share your first name, thats funny. So whats your last name?" I then stand there and freeze for almost 15 seconds in silence with an occasional "um" as he raises his eyebrow. Finally I get out my last name awkwardly, and turn bright red and begin apologizing and explaining I have a speech block that I cannot help. He was totally fine with it of course and very understanding. But it was still brutal to go through. It's happened countless times since birth :(
