Seconding this, although perhaps with a bit more optimism — These are unprecedented, anxious times. It makes sense that your anxiety would manifest itself also in unprecedented ways. If you have a history of therapy, mediation, calming practices — I would go back to those in earnest. If you’re able to bring your anxiety back down to more manageable levels, in all likelihood, your speech will return to normal as well. I know for myself, a lifelong moderate stutterer, if I stop talking to others for any decent length of time, I become a severe stutterer very quickly. So I make sure to keep talking, making phone calls, etc. It’s possible you’ve found in yourself that a higher than previously experienced level of anxiety produces a stutter. That’s good information to have! Now you just need to work to keep it at a lower, more manageable level. If you’re not familiar with meditation, I recommend the app “Insight Timer”, many many guided meditations there to help ease anxiety and worries. I wish you the best!
