Vitamin B1 megadosing has been helping my stutter

Vitamin B1 megadosing has been helping my stutter I'm going to keep this post simple and to the point. I am a twenty-year old microbiology student at Indiana University. I have been stuttering since I was thirteen years old. I have discovered over the past year that vitamin B1 megadosing has been helping my stutter significantly. Taking extremely high amounts of the vitamin is the only way this works -- taking too little of the vitamin does help somewhat, but it's less noticeable. I have mentioned this to my psychology professor (he has a degree in developmental psychology and has research experience), and he and I have agreed that I may be onto something here. He has suggested that I join a research team and propose a study regarding the viability of taking vitamin B1 megadosing and magnesium in order to treat stuttering. **To be clear,** I do not think this will work for everyone because the cause of stuttering is highly varied. In fact, I personally think that the blanket term of "stuttering" or "stammering" is outdated (it's literally a 19th century term) and should be tossed in favor of more accurate language similar to how we classify diabetes depending on their cause. I felt mentioning this is important because I believe that broadly classifying stuttering actually does a disservice to research and public perception. I have also been extremely disappointed to discover that research regarding stuttering actually appears to have decreased in quality in recent years or has otherwise been extremely hard for the public to access due to paywalls. Furthermore, private research that may help to treat or discover new things about stuttering is less unlikely to happen because stuttering is difficult to research, thus reducing investor incentive. This in turn may explain why medication for stuttering does not exist and high-quality research has become sparser than ever before. Do note that this is my opinion. If you have any questions, I will answer them as soon as I can. I will not be able to answer them immediately after posting as I have a class at 3 P.M. Thank you for reading this post!
