The class could be good. I am in college (M20 Secondary Education Social Studies Major) and having to do presentations is helpful. Is it a nightmare, yes, but it gets me up and talking in front of others. It good to gain skills by slowing down speech and over time I have gotten better at it (not perfect but better). When I was in my field placement (in a classroom helping out) I was able to remember to slow down and didn't stutter a lot. Maybe public speaking is too many people at first. Starting out talking in front of a smaller group of people and working up is something you should do at some point instead of pushing it off and down the road because no matter how far you push it down the road, you'll always catch up to it. Still a couple of months until next semester, so don't stress so much right now, enjoy summer!
