Your written English is the same as me speaking... any language. You’re fine :) This is a terrible situation. For starters, I would start exploring other options that you might have (and I don’t know much about the French university system). A great way to blunt a threat is to make it irrelevant. As far as dealing with your grandparents, you know them better than anyone here, and you know how broken their reasoning is. I suspect that it’s rooted in a “tough love” ethic, that attributes other people’s problems to their own moral failures. One way to attack this is to show how you’ve worked to improve your speech, show how much of a burden your stutter still is, and show how you’ve succeeded in other areas of your life (and how you plan to succeed in the future). It demonstrates that - stuttering isn’t a choice or a sign in of laziness - stuttering is a real challenge that you would overcome if you could - the money they spend on you isn’t wasted Hopefully this helps!
