Am I the only who doesn't stutter in very loud environments? So, whenever I'm at a football or soccer match for example and the environment is super loud, I simply do not stutter. When I'm at a loud birthday or wedding, I don't stutter. Why you may ask? My theory is that it's because people are too consumed by the music or the crowd that they don't have the attention span to focus on the person speaking. Be honest, why would the listener give a shit about how the speaker is speaking when they can hardly hear them? Now.. compare this to a quite classroom or workplace, where people are probably critically analysing and judging how you speak whilst anticipating your stutter. Makes a difference? Right?
