> It really hurts my soul to see how self-pitying this sub sometimes is. Agreed. And some want stuttering to be a disability and disclose it before a job interview. You wouldn't disclose your sexual orientation, your skin color, your sex/gender, the fact you're a double legs amputee and so on before a job interview, so why would you disclose your stuttering? All I want is not being unconsidered because of my stutter, I don't want a free pass/special treatment/affirmative action because I stutter. OP, nowadays most people either don't speak up when they should or are yes-men. Employers and customers will value you if you speak your mind (only if it's smart, of course) in this world of muted people and bootlickers, they will prioritize the content of your speech over how you deliver it and, therefore, you should't limit yourself if you're ready to stand up for what you believe in.
