People respond as if they don't know I stutter because mine is mild. Often they think I'm done talking, I forgot what i was saying or they get inpatient and start talking over me. It's the worst when they make a joke like, "Ohhh, you forgot your name, huh!". I hate it all. I'm 36 and I've simply accepted my fate.
