You're definitely right! Constantly stepping outside of my comfort zone is the only way to work with my anxiety/stutter. I like to call it the desensitization method (I'm sure there's a technical term for this though) - the more you expose yourself to uncomfortable situations, the fewer uncomfortable situations there will be. My problem is getting over that initial hump, and backsliding as well. I make progress and then I sink back into the quicksand a little more ... but only because I allow myself.
