My own strategy towards STUTTERING REMISSION and subconscious fluency

My own strategy towards STUTTERING REMISSION and subconscious fluency In my opinion, all behaviors/emotions/thoughts (and hundreds of other conditioned stimuli) become maladaptive if we specifically use them to execute the speech plan - towards stuttering remission and subconscious fluency. This is just my own take on it. Conclusion: So, in my viewpoint, we need to reverse-engineer it: assume that everything you know is wrong; assume that everything you assume is "helpful" is wrong. Start reverse engineer from there; start from scratch. See it like this: What is required to execute the speech plan? Answer: Subconsciously telling your subconscious brain that it should start executing the speech plan, is assumed to result in subconscious fluency. (at least, this occurs when we often speak alone; or during times of remission; even during stuttering moments we are not stuck all the time.. eventually we get past a block without the need for any behaviors etc). So the question is: WHY does your subconscious brain believe it needs those behaviors (like tapping your leg or whatever) to execute the speech plan? For example, those behaviors may help you to reduce fear or increase confidence in your ability to execute the speech plan? (at least, that is what your subconsciousu brain might believe why it is "helpful") Formulate/translate everything you do to execute the speech plan - into NEEDS. For example: 1. First, my subconscious brain NEEDS to increase certain behaviors (e.g., tapping my leg, etc) to execute the speech plan (or, to make it easier to regulate speech execution). 2. First, my subconscious brain NEEDS to increase a certain amount of confidence-- to execute the speech plan) 3. First, my subconscious brain NEEDS to decrease a certain amount of fear-- to execute the speech plan) As you probably have noticed, relying on those NEEDS to execute the speech plan, are the only thing that are maladaptive (not the FEAR, or behavior, those are simply conditioned stimuli). Stimuli by themselves are not good or bad. It's the NEED to avoid those errors (or rather, the need to avoid those stimuli that we evaluate as a problem/error to be avoided) i.e., an excessive error-avoidance mechanism resulting in excessive regulation of speech plan execution **\[conditioned response\]**. \~\~ To sum it all up: My recommendation towards stuttering remission and subconscious fluency, is: replace ALL those needs (including the need to increase tapping-your-leg behavior) to execute the speech plan - with "subconsciously informing your brain that it should start executing the speech plan" so that the go-signal or ready-signal is delivered to your brain. All humans need to instruct or tell their brain to start executing the motor program (to start moving the legs, arms, feet, and also speech muscles). If you are not doing 'instructing' exactly as you would 'instruct' your arms and feet, to move. Then you are doing it wrong i.e., then it's not subconscious fluency anymore (it becomes controlled fluency which is what we do not want) Below image explains this concept more in detail: https://preview.redd.it/ma15beaqlasf1.png?width=3028&format=png&auto=webp&s=0aa78f27bbd849b0019a1f6e8c3adeceb28b3d7a Any questions?
