Similar spot a few years ago but more so cause I made a career change and moved out You have to understand you have an environment issue. You can blame/shame yourself but it will reinforce same thing you’ve been doing and if it was helpful it would’ve worked already We’re all basically slaves to our phones (average 8-10 hrs easily most of last 10 years). You just need to make momentum. I didn’t know but I got diagnose with adhd last year I think maybe 1/3rd of all stutterers have it and I focused on just improving one part of my life (work) at a time Long story short, what you’re experiencing is not out of the ordinary. It sucks and many ppl face the same, if you understand that you won’t catastrophize and say you don’t want to live m It’s a normal experience to gossiping parents, self sabotage, fall short etc We don’t see reality as it is. 6 months of average human life span (77 man, 80+ for women) is about 1% of our life. Entire 20s are 13%. Your situation now would be like a teenager saying they’re horrible and suck at school and they should not live. It’s a total emotional and psychological warp on reality that doesn’t exist outside your bedroom What I did that’s practical and can help: got diagnosed for adhd, got adhd medication and just went to bed on time and took it upon waking up and got out of the house everyday For me personally it doesn’t do a lot now but at the time it was like a biological reset and I just took it a day at a time. Your environment is probably shit so even if you do change you’ll revert back to your old habits. Be upfront with your parents, seek professional help and make reasonable goals and avoid phone use. The total time it takes to do all that is probably under 5 hours. You feel bad now, you’ll feel less bad and generally as long as you feel like you’re making momentum and improvement you’ll be fine But you have to get out of your current environment no matter the cost
