Has anyone tried Avoidance Reduction Therapy to address their stuttering behaviours?

Has anyone tried Avoidance Reduction Therapy to address their stuttering behaviours? I was browsing the ASHA blog (American Speech-Language and Hearing Association) and came across an article talking about Avoidance Reduction Therapy as a way to address blocking and other secondary stuttering behaviours. I would love to hear some accounts of how people have found it - and who (type of clinician) they've worked with.
