I think anti-psychotics and anti-depressants have powerful mind numbing effects reducing anxiety and preventing self-monitoring. When I took these drugs I also noticed that there was a significant reduction in my stutter. However is it from real effects of the drug improving fluency or lower anxiety/nervousness/self monitoring, I do not know.
