My last two girlfriends told me this. I don't really mind it too much and kinda brush it off, but the way you feel is exactly the way I feel at first. Its better than them not liking it I suppose, but even saying something about how it doesn't matter or it doesn't bother them might be better than them turning such a problem into something "cute".
