Anyone start stuttering as an adult? Hi. New here. My story...it first started in my late 20s when I'd speak to supervisors at work. My issue is blocking where I get stuck on a word and it is hard to get it out. However with other colleagues and with friends and family I was fine. Fast forward to my mid 30s the frequency increased a bit but now it didnt matter who I was speaking to. I did speech therapy but would forget the techniques I learned when stuttering because I was anxious. I have had MRIs and EEGs but all they found was a tiny rathke cleft cyst. I also get migraines which have also increased in frequency. Not sure if this is all related some how. I have a neurologist. Now in my 40s my stuttering is at its worse. It happens several times a day (at work 😳, talking to friends, family). I am blocking on words i never blocked on before. Example: When ending a call and someone says love you to me. I can never get the love you in return. I get stuck saying luh luh luh. Has this happened to anyone else?
