Challenge Yourself! Week #1. Want a speech related challenge? Click here. The best way to improve your life is coming out of your comfort zone, this applies even more with a stutter. Challenging yourself will bring you confidence and will improve your view of your stutter. We all have the ability to beat our stutter and show ourselves that we can do anything, regardless of how we speak. Your challenges don't need to be huge, start small. Don't compare yourself to other people and the challenges they're doing/completing. We're all on our own journeys. Concentrate on yourself. --- #Challenge Week #1. --- **How to find a challenge (or challenges)** * Comment below stating whether you are OVERT or COVERT. * Mention how severe your stutter is out of 10. * Mention how comfortable you are in certain situations. * Mention your feared words and sounds. * Mention your feared situations. * Scared on the phone? Mention that too. * Give as much information as possible. You will receive a reply from another member of the subreddit with a challenge based on the information you have given. The challenges will not be easy, but not too difficult either. You can do it. **Once you complete your challenge reply to your challenger stating that you completed the challenge AND HOW YOU FELT before/during and after doing the challenge.** --- **How to give challenges.** * Find a comment. * Read that comment, and take into account everything about that person. * Reply to the comment stating a challenge based on their stutter and lifestyle. * Challenges shouldn't be too difficult, nor too easy. Take into account what the person has written. Put yourself in their shoes. --- **The Leaderboard** *A leaderboard? For what?* Every challenge you complete you will be rewarded with 1 point on this leaderboard. You can choose how many challenges you want to complete. The leaderboard will be updated in next week's post. Where it will also contain a log of every challenge completed by each person and how they felt doing the challenges. *RESERVED FOR LEADERBOARD* --- ##**Most importantly, you will only be lying to yourself if you lie about completing challenges, nobody else. Your speech will not improve with that mentality. These challenges are for you, nobody else.** --- *Reserved for Logs* --- Thanks to TheActualKid for the idea. Thanks to /u/WhyBathe and /u/IndigentRagnarok for the help.
