I couldn’t tell you why but I can tell you I’m very similar in that when I’m more confident my speech is noticeably improved. Sounds like when you’re doing something you’re not super confident in (speaking a whole other language) versus doing something you’re confident in (sports and other routine activities) you see a difference. Just another game piece we need to work around the board to speak.
