If I was to go back to speech therapy I'd definitely prefer it tj be in person. Any sort of digital line they may have possible delays, distortion or less than perfect clarity makes my stutter worse. Having a practice dedicated to adults would definitely be beneficial for some people. I was 20ish when I started therapy and waiting in a waiting room full of toys and practice that was clearly centred around small children was degrading. I stopped going because while someone of the mechanical techniques to get around stuttering works. They require so much cognitive effort. I'm Nearly 40 now I'm just going through the process of an autism diagnose. I now know I was already at my limit masking 24/7 and the more self conscious or even just focused on fixing my stutter I am the worse it is. I would always be OK a couple of days after a therapy session then it would be way worse after. The best solution to my stutter I've found is self acceptance and focusing on anxiety reduction not treating the actual stutter itself at all. If I notice ok have a period of worse fluency I'll focus on meditation and anxiety reducing self care and that has the best long term affect of my fluency.
