Does anyone take dietary supplements?

Does anyone take dietary supplements? Recently, I've been waking up and taking two pills. One is a combination of [caffeine and theanine](https://www.amazon.com/L-Theanine-200mg-Caffeine-100mg-Scientifically/dp/B0173H5QVU/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1480526458&sr=8-3&keywords=caffeine+theanine+pills). I take this because I no longer drink coffee. The caffeine wakes me up in the morning and theanine is a calming agent that works to stop caffeine jitters and I think it might calm me down. The second is a [magnesium pill.](https://www.amazon.com/Nature-Made-Magnesium-Tablets-Pack/dp/B00896U72I/ref=sr_1_6_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1480526534&sr=1-6&keywords=magnesium&th=1). I remember reading somewhere (you can Google it) that magnesium might be good for people who stutter. It helps prevent stress and calms you down. Maybe it's also something to do with magnesium being good for your nervous system. Does anyone else take dietary supplements to help with their speech? Have they helped? What are your thoughts? I block more than I stutter and have found that, placebo effect or not, these seem to help me.
