Excellent answer. I have a stutter and my youngest daughter inherited it. It reared its ugly face when she was about two. I demanded flat out that nobody in the family acknowledge it. Do not mention it to her, do not give advice, just let her speak. Two weeks in it went away by itself. I'm not saying this would work for everyone, but she's 14 now and has fluent speech. It's definitely worth a try.
