I have used accents a lot over the years when I had to speak and didn't have an alternate way of communicating. I used to work at Walmart and would have to call out over the intercom to get a manager to come unlock the dock for a truck. Usually the other person on shift with me would make the call, but if I was working solo, I would use a thick, over the top, scottish accent to call over the intercom. The manager would usually come in the warehouse laughing so hard at the accent. I've learned quite a few voices over the years and have realized that I only stutter in my real voice. Kind of sucks, the brain is such a strange thing.
