This is such a reductionist view on the experience of others. It's great that you got through your speech impediment but doesn't mean your subjective experience is the subjective experience of others. I get that the intention is good, but telling somebody "you can recover from this, it's plain and simple" when it might not be "plain and simple" for them only causes harm. Some things are complicated and hard, those things require work, and it's not lazy to struggle in those cases.
