Yeah, it's a constant never-ending torment. Seeing people around you joke and laugh, sharing stories and experiences, while you can't do *any* of it. We are inherently social creatures, and as stutterers (at least for us severe cases), we miss out on the most fundamentally human experience - being able to *connect* with others. My life feels so incredibly shallow compared to others, I often feel subhuman. People can give us all the platitudes they want about tHiNgS gEtTiNg bEtTeR, yOu jUsT hAvE tO aCcEpT wHo yOu aRe, but at the end of the day we will never get to really experience the carefree and easy sharing of our thoughts, values and opinions that *everyone* else gets to. Maybe death is the only way out for us...
