I used to hire lots of people over many years (as a stutterer). There are many criteria for hiring the right person for a role. Technical skills are only one factor. Attitude, presentation, interest in the company, past experience and many many more. I would often reject candidates with 'better' technical skills because I thought their demeanour was unprofessional. And I'd often hire people with less experience because their attitude and enthusiasm was infectious. It's about fitting the 'right person' for the job. We, as stutterers, need to be aware that we are highly sensitive to rejection, perhaps overly so. It's easy for us to mistakenly attribute life's problems to our stutter. But the fact is, fluent people get rejected for jobs every day. And stutterers get hired for jobs every day.
