I've commonly heard that people find their stutter much less noticeable when speaking a foreign language. I have to say that the opposite is the case with me, my stutter is much, much worse when trying to speak a foreign language. I studied French and German for several years in college. I really wanted to learn the language, but absolutely dreaded going to those classes. German was difficult because of all the hard consonants which I have trouble with, but French wasn't much easier.
