I didn't know you replied until now because you replied to yourself. If you snoop around https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, you can find many case studies that associate tongue ties with orofacial disorders including articulation issues. You can also find just as many studies that conclude there are significant myofunctional disorders in stutterers, but I haven't yet seen a study that directly correlates tongue ties with stuttering. The bottom line is that there's a lot of evidence to show that stutterers have orofacial disorders, and that tongue ties put people at risk for developing orofacial disorders, but just because you have a tongue tie doesn't mean you're going to have orofacial disorders or stutter. Having said all of this, myofunctional therapy completely eliminated my stuttering. It was life changing.
