Sounds horrible man, sorry it happened. I've had a few bad moments like that too and worst with me is I will immediately break out in sweat and turn red, making me look even more uncomfortable/unprepared. Have you tried xanax? For a few cases when my anxiety was so high I knew I would have bad fluency, I've taken a 10mg tablet about 2 hours beforehand. It really helped me get through some difficult college presentations because even if I did stutter, it didn't affect my anxiety and I could just sorta take a quick breath and then keep going without collapsing into despair midway through. Again, I really feel for you on this one. Do you drink alcohol a lot? I know it helps me talk fluently when I am buzzed/drunk but the downside is that your body is always feeling anxious/hyperactive when you are sober. I cut back a lot on my drinking this summer and entirely quit smoking pot as well as have been running a lot all month and have noticed that my anxiety levels are way down and I feel much more confident speaking around others. A clear, sober mind goes a long way with stuttering because even if you do stutter, you feel okay about it and don't let it spiral out of control. Best of luck man.
