In my opinion you are rich with friends if you have 2 people in this world you are truly close to. True friends don't give a shit about your stutter so just be honest and open; the right people will find you. If you're trying to be more confident in your speech, talk about things you at confident about. It was a running joke with my wife to be when we first started dating that my middle name should be "Modest" because I was usually anything but. The truth is that I just steered the conversation to things I was good at. Camping, 4 wheeling, cooking, literature, traveling, drinking: these are my strong suits.
