There is no quick fix or cheat to get by stuttering while introducing yourself. While I was at a smaller college I hated the introduction part so I know your pain. There were a few times where I even completely bypassed it but the best option is to just start with the fact that you stutter then continue. Trust me you'll feel better about yourself. Most professors and students at college understand and will respect that you tried regardless. If your school has a speech clinic I would recommend swinging by and talking to someone. The book self-therapy for the stutter by Malcolm Fraser helped me learn some techniques for slowing down and improving myself but like all things it'll take time to master. The stutter is only holding you back if you let it. Take some time and read out loud to yourself when you can and try to talk in that same pace while talking to others. Best of luck Steven.
