It’s so difficult because they don’t want to embarrass themselves. When I was in high school there was an assignment to learn a specific poem and recite it in front of my class. I knew that would doom me, especially in high school. My teacher allowed me to recite it privately. The school district must have a plan for this situation. DONT allow this insensitive teacher further damage your child. The Department of Special education has to take action.
