I had a moderate stutter when I went to HCRI. I couldn't hide it. The founder/CEO or whatever is kind of scammy/unscientific. The therapists are great though, and you will be fluent when you leave if you bust your ass. I was fluent for a year after I left. It changed my self image completely. I stutter again now, but it's way more controlled. I don't think of myself as a "Stutterer" anymore. At all. Whenever I practice what I learned at HCRI, I can be very fluent. It's just, frankly, a lot of work. If you're dedicated and go with an open mind (don't challenge or question what they tell you to do, even in your head), you will see real results. I was the only one in my group who maintained fluency after leaving, but I also was the only one who didn't question things or pick and choose from the program. I knew someone personally who has been stutter free for 15 years because of Hollins, and that helped motivate me to a level above my peers. I'd recommend it to any stutterer who's serious about fixing it. Thanks to HCRI, I KNOW I can be fluent.
