I’m a stuttering lawyer. I say what I want when I want to. I stutter in almost every sentence. And I still go to court in front of a judge. And you know how I do that? I’ve accepted my stutter. I don’t use fluency techniques, I don’t hide, I don’t switch words. And I don’t do that because I’m precise with my language. I also don’t do that because there is nothing wrong with stuttering. Nothing. And once you internalize that this is not a failing, this isn’t a fault, it’s a biological reality like bad eyesight. Stuttering isn’t on my top 5 list of life issues.
